I. Psychological services:

Clinicians that provide services are trained as a Marriage and Family Therapist or Professional Counselor.

Our therapeutic modality is eclectic and solution focused, and we use a collaborative approach.

  • Psychotherapy/Counseling:

    • Individual Counseling/Therapy:
      Help individual understand and resolve his/her psychological issues through individual session. The length of an individual session is 45~60 minutes.
    • Couples Therapy:
      Provide psychotherapy session for marital couple/partners through joint session and help them resolve conflict(s) and or improve their relationship. The length of couples therapy session is 45~60 minutes.
    • Family Therapy:
      Provide psychotherapy session in family setting to understand the issues and concerns of the family. The session can be attended by parent(s), children, siblings, extended family and significant others who the client considers as family members. The length of family therapy session is 45~60 minutes
    • Play therapy for young age child(ren):
      Therapeutic session is set up in the play room. Therapist uses different category of toys, puppets, sand-box, writing board, markers, and crayons to interact with children. Play therapy is an essential and effective way to help children to express and deal with their concern and help them to recover from their psychological issues. The length of play therapy session is 45~60 minutes.
    • Group Therapy/Counseling:
      Number of participants is 8 to 10, but no more than 15 in one group. The length of the group therapy session is 90~120 minutes, and 8 sessions for one type of group.
    • Categories for group therapy include:
      • Parenting Group
      • Anger Management Group
      • Premarital Counseling Group
      • Pre-divorce Counseling Group
  • Psychosocial Evaluation:

  • Through interview and observation, clinicians evaluate client's mental health state, functioning level, social and family background. Then the clinicians gather all the information and provide a written report. The Psychosocial Evaluation report includes Diagnostic Code and Treatment Recommendation.

II. Provide Seminars and Workshops:

Family Enrichment Clinic provides Seminars and Workshops to local Communities, including Mental Health Organizations, schools, and religious organizations. The topics include:

  • Parenting
  • Effective Communication
  • Premarital Counseling
  • Marriage Enrichment
  • Family Enrichment
  • Cultural Awareness
  • Anger Management
  • Stress Management

III. Training Program:

  • Internship and Residency Programs:
    Family Enrichment Clinic has been designated as a internship site by some colleges/universities. Currently, FEC is providing internship training for Marriage Family Therapy Students from the University of Houston - Clear Lake. We are also training Marriage and Family Therapy Residents. Because of our cultural diversity in clientele, trainees have the opportunity to learn the experience of seeing culturally diversified individuals and families.

Family Enrichment Clinic values quality of service and emphasizes on clinical skill. We provide weekly supervision and continuing education program periodically to our clinicians. We are an approved Continuing Education Provider for LPC (Licensed Professional Counselors) and LMFT (Licensed Marriage and Family Therapists).
